Context
Challenge
In accordance with an existing theme, it was required to create a variety of audio assets ranging from ambiences to SFX. Finally it all had to be implemented into Unreal Engine.
Research
Among key insights was that the characteristics of sounds had to take on a particular form and style to make the RTS game present the correct sound indicators at the right moment.
Solution
A library was created with the main purpose of clearly laying out the building blocks to be used at certain parts of the users experience. This became the core instrument making sure the right ambiences and SFX were used at the right moment.
